Vegetable Farm Investment Opportunity in Wellington, South Africa

WATER SUPPLY:

Irrigation water is supplied by two large farm dams, which are both equipped with pumps and filter stations, as well as water from any one of five very strong boreholes. Drinking water is drawn from one of the boreholes. Volume of water that can be lawfully used for irrigation on the properties is: 760 980 m. Total storage capacity in two dams on is: 108 000 m (Dam D1) and 42 000 m³ per annum.

Water supply of each borehole was tested between 7 – 8 hours.

Borehole 1: 51200 L, borehole 2: 41800 L, borehole 3: 31300 L, Borehole 4: 12800 L, borehole 5:28300 L.

Permissible water supply on the farm, lends itself to develop 110 ha under citrus and table grapes, and 28 ha under fresh produce under permanent irrigation.
