Travel Graphics International (TGI) makes and distributes illustrated visitor orientation maps. Since 1975, our maps have been the favorite of major corporations and brands in tourism, hospitality, conventions and meetings, universities medical centers, real estate.
At its peak, TGI generated more than USD 1 million from the Hawaii alone, and USD 250,000 revenue from mid-market Minnesota. Our sales models can be duplicated in multiple markets, and TGI has artwork for all major convention cities in the United States.
This family-owned business is currently in a holding pattern, maintaining current clients but not pursuing new business. Challenges include: hiring and managing remote salesforce and the personal circumstances of the owner.
Our current and past clients include Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Wyndham, United Airlines, and American Express.
In addition to our printed visitor maps we have proprietary virtual concierge software and web apps that are reliable and more accessible than the services offered by major competitors.
TGI has 3 major revenue streams:
- We provide free, customized maps to hotels or other tourism organisations. We sell advertising spaces inside the maps to the preferred vendors of the client.
- We sell custom maps directly to hospitality and tourism companies that prefer to distribute maps free of advertising.
- We receive a commission on all activity bookings made through our web-based virtual concierge applications.
We are a family-owned company with a proven business model. We are looking for distribution partners to take on sales and distribution for horizontal or vertical markets. We choose this direction for our business rather than directly managing the national sales staff.
