- We are installing the camp currently (we can produce photographs of installation) and are seeking investment to complete the camp, having secured the land, installed guide, staff and client tents (need 4 more client tents), bought furnishings, kitchen and equipment, solar power, water tanks, etc.
- An investment of £50k will allow us to finish the camp and open to clients. We need computers and radios, a pick up and a safari vehicle (we have two old safari land cruisers being used at present for transport but are too old for clients' use), a laundry tent with equipment and a little contingency for transportation.
- The business partner and promoter have known each other for about 14 years.
- The partner is an experienced tour operator and a highly competent guide, and had his own company until the Covid pandemic, while the promoter has voluntarily assisted him with his company for about 12 years.
- We are well-versed in the industry, have many contacts, and understand the laws and regulations in Tanzania.
- The promoter is British and was a business manager with experience in project management, finance, IT, human resources, premises, health and safety.
- The promoter also has health and education experience and has served as a county, district, and parish councilor in the UK for several years. Additionally, they are a member of Rotary and hold a resident's permit for Tanzania.
- Our financials are based on conservative estimates, but we believe we can improve on them if we start early enough to open by June/July this year.
- all orders for solar power, tents, and furniture have been made and received. All being installed currently.
- Recruitment will begin as soon as possible, starting with 15 staff members, including security, even though the national park also provides security.
- We have extensive project management experience having started a charity, having secured funds for a £3.5 million water project through our charity in partnership with WaterAid and ministries in the UK and Tanzania.
- Additionally, we have built a school hostel, and the promoter has been involved in the Schools for the Future project in the UK.
- The promoter and the shareholder are both trustees of the charity, registered in both the UK and Tanzania, which has been running for over 12 years.
- The promoter has family in the UK and frequently travels between the UK and Tanzania.
En-suite facilities offering privacy and comfort in all rooms/tents. Cultural activities and retreats will also be offered.
Later we plan on offering spa facilities. High quality, professional and welcoming service, close to airstrip and in a very sought after central area of Serengeti, with beautiful vistas across the savannah offering wonderful sunsets and sunrises. Local and international cuisine.
Intangible assets: Shares of the company, as we are not yet operational. We have lists of contacts, including tour operators, travel agencies around the world, events organizers who are keen to have us at events, previous clients around the world, complementary knowledge and experience between us, and a business website which will be expanded as soon as we can take bookings and email.
A number of tour operators are already stating they will use our camp. We have contacts with relevant authorities through our charity, which we are hopeful to support with small donations, so we can still help local communities with our projects (water, sanitation, education, and health). This would be a decision by all shareholders at a later date.
We have the vast experience and vision of the directors.
Family members with skillsets complimentary should they be required.
Relevant licences required.
We hope to put these on decking to offer verandas for the tents very soon. The camp will be on the savannah so it is relatively flat with mountains in the distance, and no one is able to put any other facility within 1 square km. It will be listed as a seasonal camp, but we can either go for a permanent camp next year or indeed expand to another camp elsewhere in three or four years. There will be a profit in the first year from the forecast. We are able to use the land now until we decide to leave by paying an annual fee to Tanapa (the park's authority).
The land will be leased for a fee of USD 2,000/ year, and we plan to start the operations with 10 tents and expand with time.
The promoter has 45% stakes.
Please note there are no values given below due to us not being operational yet.
