Since 2014, the company has been focusing on discovering new polymetallic and porphyry copper deposits.
* Exploration Licenses -
Ivan Kula: In early-stage exploration, and license obtained 3 years ago.
Stubla: In the third year of exploration, and the license was obtained 4 years ago.
Lece-Radan Planina: In the third year of exploration, and license obtained 2 years ago.
Majdan Planina: Continuous exploration for 10 years, awaiting license renewal.
TRN: In the process of obtaining a license from the Ministry and Mining and Energy (MME)
The exploration licenses are part of the Lece-Halkidiki metallogenic zone, characterized by andesitic and volcanoclastic rocks from the Oligocene-Miocene epoch. The area shows potential for various deposit types, including polymetallic, porphyry, epithermal, and VMS deposits.
* Geological observations -
Hydrothermal Alteration: The presence of strong argillic alteration (bleaching) and silicification at Vrelsko brdo further supports the potential for a porphyry copper deposit. These alteration types are commonly associated with the hydrothermal systems that form porphyry deposits.
Limonite-Pyrite Stockwork: The identification of a limonite-pyrite stockwork in outcrops at Vrelsko brdo provides additional evidence. Stockwork veining, characterized by networks of small veins filled with pyrite and other minerals, is a common feature of porphyry copper systems.
* Drilling Results -
Brajsor Area: Deep diamond drilling conducted across the license, targeting porphyry-style mineralization, yielded encouraging results in the Brajsor area. The presence of native copper and associated metals, along with the geochemical anomalies and alteration patterns observed elsewhere, contributes to the overall picture suggesting potential for a porphyry copper system at Majdan Planina.
The company aims to continue its exploration activities, focusing on high-potential areas and obtaining necessary licenses to expand its operations.
Polymetallic Deposits: These deposits, which contain multiple metals, are primarily composed of lead, zinc, gold, silver, and copper. The company believes that the geological conditions in the region are favourable for the formation of these deposits. The company is focusing its exploration efforts on areas with known occurrences of these metals and evidence of hydrothermal activity.
Porphyry Copper Deposits: The Company has intensified its exploration efforts for porphyry copper deposits, driven by the discovery of the Kiseljak deposit by Dunav Minerals in a neighbouring license area. These deposits, known for their large size and potential for copper, gold, and molybdenum, are formed from magmatic processes. The firm is using a variety of exploration techniques, including geochemical sampling of soil and streams and deep diamond drilling, to identify promising areas for further exploration.
