Background: I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2012, after my bachelor’s degree in management with the set up of my first business. Hailing from a family who has been in the textile business since 1950, I have been able to quickly grasp the necessary skills to lead the business into becoming one of the leaders in the design, manufacturing and supply of corporate wear and uniforms in Mauritius. Over the past 12 years, I have managed to secure orders with prestigious brands and have successfully managed them. My business acumen and drive have constantly kept me looking for new business opportunities. Over the last 3 years, I have started new businesses in the healthcare, procurement and distribution sector. Expanding beyond the boundaries of Mauritius to attain a larger market has always been one of my major objective and in 2019, I managed to set up a fully-owned company in Mumbai, India. The idea behind the venture was to set up a base in India to develop new textile and healthcare businesses for the Indian market as well as develop products for the export market.
