Professional Summary
I am a marine chief engineer turned entrepreneur, based in Chennai. I spent over two decades at sea and in senior shore side roles. I have led 25+ major cruise ship drydockings and multi-million-dollar refit projects, always working to US and European regulatory and quality standards.
Today I run two businesses, A marine (maritime) engineering consulting company, Maritime training and ship supply to international clients. Separately, I run an export business supplying high voltage connectors to industrial clients worldwide — 100% export, high-mix low-volume production for quality-driven European customers.
I have built my businesses organically to date; this acquisition is a strategic move backed by ready demand, not a financial experiment. Our European clients' production regulations make outsourcing unviable, so I am bringing connector manufacturing in-house by acquiring an aluminium foundry. To the right foundry I bring three things: assured captive orders from an established export business, hands-on engineering and operations leadership, and personal capital for upgrades. I intend to run and grow the foundry the same way, well beyond our own captive demand.

Investment Criteria
I am specifically looking for a running aluminium foundry — gravity die, pressure die, mandatorily sand casting — preferably in Tamil Nadu (Pondicherry & Chennai region ideal), though I will consider other locations for the right unit.
What I look for: a working plant with skilled manpower willing to continue; valid statutory compliance (pollution control consents, factory license, clean GST and financial records); owned or long-leased premises; and an owner willing to support a proper handover of 3–6 months. An existing customer base is a plus but not essential — I bring my own captive export orders, so I value production capability and quality discipline over the current order book. I prefer outright purchase, but I am open to a majority stake with a defined path to full buyout, or a partnership with a retiring owner.
What I avoid: units with environmental non-compliance or pending litigation; heavily indebted or asset-stripped operations; trading businesses without in-house manufacturing; and owners who want to sell but not hand over. I am an individual buyer investing personal funds and can move quickly with genuine sellers.
