We want to introduce you to something that is genuinely rare in Bali, and honestly, rare anywhere.
This is our wellness retreat venue that we have been running successfully for close to 5 years. It specializes in one thing and does it exceptionally well: hosting other people's retreats. That distinction matters more than it might seem at first glance, because it completely changes the business model, the clientele, and the stability of the revenue.
The clients are not individual travelers. They are retreat organizers, coaches, healers, yoga teachers and wellness facilitators who need a venue to host their group. They book the entire property for a set number of nights, the invoice goes to them, and they handle their participants. What we do is make their life completely stress-free. The full team, from hospitality and housekeeping to the chefs, is there to take care of everything around the experience, so the organizer can focus entirely on running their program. No logistics headaches, no worrying about whether breakfast will be ready on time or whether the space is set up correctly. It just works. And that is exactly why these organizers keep coming back and referring others.
This creates a very different kind of business from your typical accommodation. There is no dependence on Airbnb or Booking. No exposure to algorithm changes, platform policy updates, or the brutal competition for visibility that every holiday rental in Bali is fighting right now. Bali has seen a massive surge in accommodation supply in recent years, and most of those places are all chasing the same pool of tourists, competing on price and rarely booked more than a month or two out. We operate in a completely different lane.
Because retreat organizers need to sell tickets and attract participants well in advance, they plan their calendars almost a year ahead. That means we are typically booked out 9 to 12 months in advance. Think about what that means for a buyer. You know your revenue for the next year before the year even starts. That kind of certainty is something almost no other hospitality business in Bali, or arguably anywhere in the world, can offer, and it creates a level of operational calm and financial predictability that is hard to put a price on.
Bali is one of those rare destinations that has become a true global brand. People don't just visit Bali, they are drawn to it. The culture, the spiritual energy, the landscape, the warmth of its people and the atmosphere that the island carries are the reasons it has been one of the world's most beloved destinations for decades and will continue to be. The numbers back this up from last year, the island welcomed nearly 7 million international visitors, up close to 10%, with arrivals now well above pre-pandemic levels. TripAdvisor named Bali the world's top travel destination for this year. And unlike many destinations that have priced themselves out of reach, Bali remains one of the more accessible places to visit globally, which means its appeal is not just enduring but broad. That combination of cultural depth, natural beauty, spiritual richness and genuine affordability is not something that is easy to replicate elsewhere, and it is why Bali's future looks bright.
The wellness industry adds another layer to this. The Global Wellness Institute has consistently tracked the wellness economy as one of the fastest-growing sectors globally, now valued at over 6 trillion dollars and still climbing. And there is a strong argument to be made that the rise of AI and digital saturation is actually accelerating this trend, not slowing it. As more of daily life moves into screens and automation, people are actively seeking out spaces where they can disconnect, genuinely connect with other humans, and immerse themselves in nature. Our venue sits surrounded by rice paddies and jungle, with a river you can hear from the property. It is exactly that kind of space, and it offers something no technology can replicate: real human warmth, real presence, and a deep connection to the natural world that surrounds it. That is not going away.
The property has 11 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom, a yoga shala, 2 main pools, 1 private pool, a sauna and an ice bath. The current buildings sit on 1,200 m2 with a lease running for 16 years, including an option for a further 25 years. There is also an adjacent 1,070 m2 of land with its own lease running for 18 years, with an option for a further 20 years. This gives a future owner room to expand the business and the peace of mind that nothing disruptive will be built next door. An important detail is that the landlord of the main 1,200 m2 plot is actually an employee of the venue, which means the relationship is solid and there is a very strong position to extend or renegotiate at a fair price when the time comes.
Our team is one of the things we are most proud of. They are genuinely exceptional at what they do, and we have almost no staff turnover, which says everything. We invest in them seriously, not just in communication and training, but in how we compensate them and the secondary benefits they receive. When people are treated well and paid well, they show up differently. They genuinely care for our guests, and they do it in a loving way that people can feel the moment they walk through the door. Once you see how our clients talk about their experience, you will understand why this venue has the reputation it does and why organizers keep coming back year after year. If you would like to get a feel for this yourself, we are happy to share the link to our Google Reviews and client interview videos upon request.
For a new owner, this business works beautifully either way. If you want to step in and shape it strategically, you can take the business in any direction you choose. If you prefer a more hands-off investment where a well-trained team handles the day-to-day operations, that works perfectly as well. This is a business that runs with or without your active involvement, and that flexibility is rare.
We have made the decision to sell because our personal lives have changed, and this feels like the right moment to pass it on to someone who can take it to the next chapter. We are approaching this with a win-win mindset. A fair exit for us, and a strong return on investment for the buyer. That is the only kind of deal that makes sense.
What has been built here took years. Years to build the physical space, years to build the reputation, train the team, develop the branding, grow the network, and earn the trust of clients who now book a year in advance without hesitation. A buyer is not just buying a property. They are buying all of that, and they will benefit from it from day 1.
