Agriculture Company Investment Opportunity in Male, Maldives

- Planning to establish a dried sea cucumber cultivation area, poultry farm and agricultural green-houses.
- Our targeted production is 42 tons of dried sea cucumbers and 250,000 egg cases (180 eggs per case) annually.
- Have already identified the property. It is an uninhabited island with over 25 hectare dry land area and a lagoon of over 90 hectares. Post-funding, we will be taking up the property on lease.
- The 90 hectares of area in the lagoon along with 2 hectares of dry land on the island will be used for dried sea cucumber cultivation. 4 hectares of dry land will be used in setting up the poultry farm (150,000 layers of chicken). The remaining 19 hectares will be used in setting up 20+ agricultural greenhouses where bananas, papayas, tomatoes, melons and other leafy vegetables will be cultivated.
- Under the project, a full-fledged aqua culture facility including a hatcher, nursery, laboratory, feed production unit, grow-out cages, and post-harvest processing facility and value addition facilities will be developed.
- Have already received quotations from over 3-4 suppliers to install machinery. Expected ROI of 3 to 4 months post-launch. Post-funding, we can launch operations within 6-8 months.
- Dried sea cucumbers will be exported while the eggs and vegetables will be sold locally. There are gaps in the market pertaining to the demand and supply of eggs that we intend to exploit.
- Have developed a comprehensive business plan with extensive market research that we can share with an interested investor. There is a huge scope in this industry.
- We will hire 55 people for production purposes.
- The 3 promoters have over 60 years of experience cumulatively in agriculture, fisheries and tourism.
