1. Current portfolio. 1.1 We have 135+ dancers attending 400+ classes; - average number of classes attended per dancer = 3 or more. This is a HIGH average number of classes per dancer because our dancers have the opportunity to do multiple genres with us. 1.2 Pre-covid annual revenue was almost SGD1mil with only 130+ dancers which led to expansion plans with a bigger studio in central Singapore. However, we were severely impacted by covid as we committed to triple our rental expense JUST before covid-closures forced our revenue to drop to only 40% of our usual revenue for 9 months. 1.3 Opportunity to pivot. Since then, we have slowly recovered, but the market has changed substantially. There are now many new ballet schools, & parents are much more willing to invest in training & opportunities to compete. Which is why we need to innovate which leads to our 2-prong expansion plan; A) To draw in pre-school dancers looking for more than just ballet. B) To provide high-quality productions for performers to have an opportunity to perform (instead of just doing exams & competing) Our annual concerts & public performances are reputed to be very high quality & professional. There is also a shortage of performance opportunities for dance-heavy performances in Singapore. We would like to direct our capabilities in this area to regularly produce high quality productions. We tested this 2 years ago and our production was extremely successful.
