Our exciting business model is built to scale and is powered by a 7-module, on-demand course that walks our clients through how to start an online coaching program.
The secret sauce is that we are targeting a unique niche that typically is not in the coaching space, and helping them convert their existing skillset into coaching. In this way, we are not competing with the many other programs targeting coaches and we've forged our own niche of millions.
The program teaches how to:
Select a niche and identify the ideal audience.
Create messaging and a sales funnel that speaks to their ideal audience and compels them to book a call.
Run effective Facebook ads that keep their calendar full of calls.
Close those calls into sales using a consultative closing style or outsource the sales calls to a commission-based sales closer.
Develop, build, and price the coaching program.
The goal is that at the end of the 16-week program, they have a full-functioning high-ticket coaching offer that is generating leads and sales.
The program is priced at $10,000 - $16,000 depending on the level of support. We've tested price points from $9k - $25k and this current pricepoint is working well.
Operations-
The business is built around the sale of our coaching program.
We sold the program to coaches and consultants and mental health professionals, with the exact same content and different messaging.
The program itself is built on marketing fundamentals, so it could apply to any industry to help professionals in that space launch an online course/ coaching program. The new owner has an amazing opportunity to brand this course for any industry (including their industry of expertise) showing other business owners how to supplement their income with coaching.
For access to the modules and weekly coaching calls (where a member of our team hops on to answer questions and support our clients through the process), it's $10k. We call this "Done With You. "
For more hands-on support, where we actually implement some of the steps for them, it's $16k. The additional setup is outsourced at around $650. We call this "Done For You"
In order to effectively run this business you'll need 5-10 hours a week to support your team, however, this can be done by an operations manager.
The business was built around marketing our systems and processes, not around any individual person, so clients are excited to work with the agency, not an individual. This will allow a new owner to transition seamlessly into the business.
Competition-
The coaching industry is extremely lucrative and fast-growing, with its fair share of competition. Only a small percentage of coaches make more than $100k per year, so this program has staked its claim in the marketplace. Through our own research, there seem to be 3-5 other agencies who are offering something similar, but our clients have never mentioned hearing of them. Our main traffic source is Facebook Ads, and our messaging, and market choice has helped us stand out, grab attention and convert clients.
Customers.
The majority of our clients are acquired directly from Facebook ads. We use a video funnel to attract, engage and inform them to book a call, and then leverage sales calls to close the deal. Our clients are generally professionals and entrepreneurs between the age of 27-55. The average lifetime value of a client is around $12,000.
Additional notes-
The coaching industry is absolutely booming, and in fact, it is one of the only industries that saw growth during the pandemic.
As we continue to hear rumblings of a recession, I'm reminded that I first started creating courses and coaching programs in 2008, and my first course made $18k in one week, right in the middle of a recession. This business will not slow during a recession, and in fact, I've seen time and time again that it picks up as people look for a sustainable way to support themselves.
This is truly one of the highest-profit, lowest-risk businesses you can own.
