Solar, thermal and wind power projects are viable. Project can be at various stages of development including permission and approval in place.
Most of the likely projects will be in greenfield stage and therefore the IRR will not be an issue. For brownfield project the minimum IRR expected is 18.
Buyers prefer long term state PPAs.
The minimum investment size / takeover price should be Rs. 50 crore.
It will a complete buyout (100% of equity) not a JV or partial investment.
The buyers are from S. E. Asia, Japan, and Europe.
To assess the project's viability a one page report should be submitted giving all pertinent details of the current status of the project.
Within 5 days we will notify the seller if the project is acceptable.
Upon acceptance of the project a mandate will be signed including the fees to be paid by the seller.
Our fees will range from 2%-4% depending on the complexity of the project.
Once the mandate is signed due diligence will be conducted by the interested buyer or their appointed agent.
If the due diligence is successful a series of meeting will be conducted between the buyer and seller along with us.
The travel and related expenses during the negotiation phase for us will be borne by the seller.
The meetings will most likely take place in Mumbai or Delhi depending on where the buyer's domestic office is located. In rare instances the meeting may take place overseas.
The seller will settle the fees in full from the first tranche of payments with us immediately upon completion of the financial transaction.
