Sunger is the second most populous place in the municipality of Mrkopalj, where the construction of an adrenaline park is planned. It is currently being completed at the very entrance to the Goran wooden house, which will be a tourist information point for the entire Municipality, where the construction of 10 wooden houses with sports fields and an offer of domestic products is planned. In the center of the town, there is an old school that will soon be renovated and will be a scientific and biological center for Gorski Kotar. 5. Countless holiday houses have been built recently, with 50 new houses currently under construction. The price of construction land has increased to EUR 80-100 per m2. There is a great demand for accommodation facilities due to the preserved mountain nature as well as the distance to the Adriatic Sea, which is 40 km from Mrkoplje.
